G.Skill, these luxurious DDR4 memory are suitable for the most demanding users


Skill's Trident Z Royal family is preparing to welcome a new member. The new Trident Z Royal Elite retain the same luxurious aesthetic as their predecessors and will be available in gold and silver colors, featuring the polished aluminum heat sink characteristic of the Trident Z Royal. However, G.Skill has revamped the design a bit, sporting a new pattern that replicates a crystal.

While on the outside these new memories offer a different look, the Trident Z Royal Elite features internally high-end that the company has accustomed us to over the past few years. In fact, they have been made with ten-layer PCBs to improve stability, while manually selected chips guarantee optimal performance.

The capacity will depend on the clock chosen, but, in general, the Trident Z Royal Elite are available in 16GB (2 × 8GB) and 64GB (2 × 32GB or 4 × 16GB) kits.

Despite the high data rate, the DDR4-5333 kit is equipped with quite good timings and set at 22-32-32-52. The kit is limited to a capacity of 16GB (2 × 8GB) and requires 1.6V of voltage, which is quite high. The DDR4-3600 kit is the only one that comes in at a capacity of 128GB (4 × 16GB) and has timings equal to 16-19-19-39, but it only requires 1.35V, so there is definitely some margin for overclocking.

G.Skill's Trident Z Royal Elite supports XMP 2.0, so users can simply select the appropriate option in their motherboard BIOS to bring the memory up to the advertised speed. Like other products from the same company, the warranty is for life. Unfortunately, at the moment G.Skill has not revealed prices or a precise launch date, but they should be available on the market from next month.

G.Skill rolls out new Trident Z Royal Elite DDR4 memory series

Ranging from 3600MHz to 5333MHz and in capacities of up to 64GB

G.Skill has announced a new addition to its Trident Z DDR4 memory series, the Trident Z Royal Elite, which will be available in dual- and quad-module kits ranging from 16GB to 64GB in capacity and ranging from DDR4-3600 to DDR4-5333 frequencies.

The Trident Z Royal Elite will be G.Skill's high-performance DDR4 series with the special aluminum heatspreader, featuring crystalline pattern and the same patented full-length crystalline light bar and 8-zone RGB lighting.

Specification-wise, the new Trident Z Royal Elite DDR4 memory series will include 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB kits, with 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB modules in dual- and quad-module configurations. It will range from DDR4-3600 to DDR4-5333, with CL16 to CL22 latencies, and 1.35V to 1.6V voltage, depending on the kit.

As a part of the high-performance lineup, each memory kit in the Trident Z Royal Elite series uses hand-screened memory IC chips.
