Uncharted 4 hits 60 FPS thanks to the work of a fan

Over the past few months, the work of an enthusiast who, thanks to an unofficial mod had managed to run Bloodborne at 60 FPS on PlayStation 4, has made a great echo. Taking a cue from this operation, today another enthusiast has done the same job for another great Sony exclusive that landed on the last generation console. Let's talk about Uncharted 4 End of a Thief, the last chapter of the Naughty Dog saga and starring Nathan Drake.

In a way quite similar to the recent unofficial Bloodborne patch that led it to run at 60fps, the user 'illusion0001' has created a second unofficial mod to give even the beloved Uncharted 4 an increase in framerate until it reaches 60 FPS. To succeed in his goal, the modder had to lower the resolution of the game, even dropping to 540P on a basic PlayStation 4 model.

Due to this lowering of resolution, the game in the most excited moments of action loses quality, but not only. At the moment it can happen to peer here and there some graphic artifacts that are not exactly the best to see. The MP1St editorial team also tested this unofficial patch of Uncharted 4 showing us in video how the game looks in different situations, constantly underlining the resolution trend and above all the framerate.

At the moment it is possible to find all the additional information of this unofficial mod directly within the creator's blog. It is likely that, just like the user who created the mod for Bloodborne, even in the case of Uncharted 4 the works may find some improvements over time, especially in terms of resolution and general graphic quality.
