Praey for the Gods: postpone the launch date of the game inspired by Shadow of the Colossus

Praey for the Gods

The guys from the independent team No Matter Studios are working hard on the development of Praey of the Gods, but in the latest official statement they announced that they will not be able to respect the launch window initially communicated, which corresponded to the first quarter of 2021.

"In the fall of 2020, we released a trailer for the announcement of Praey for the Gods for PlayStation, setting the launch date for version 1.0 in Early Access during the first quarter of 2021. We are very close to that. window, but we will not be able to release it by March due to all the difficulties we have faced, and we believe it is wiser to refine the game than to print a backward build. I update the estimates for the launch window to second half of April, "said Brian Parnell, founder and director of the studio.

Although the game is destined to see the light in Early Access, therefore in a version that is not in itself definitive, the developers of No Matter Studios intend to do things right, therefore they have postponed the estimated launch date by setting it in a window in the second half of April. Parnell added: "I repeat that this is an estimate, based on how things went this year and the state of completion of the content. We have begun the certification process for PlayStation 4, PS5 and Xbox One and are preparing the key to send to lenders on Kickstarter ".

It will therefore take a little more patience before you can get your hands on Praey of the Gods for PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox One, an open world adventure that, inspired by Shadow of the Colossus, will offer of brutal battles against gargantuan creatures.

Shadow of the Colossus-inspired Praey for the Gods targets an April release date

No Matter Studios has shared a new development update for its upcoming Shadow of the Colossus-inspired game, Praey for the Gods. The team is currently targeting a mid/end April release date for it, and has shared some of the features that will come with it.

As the team stated:

“In fall of 2020, we had put out a trailer for PS5 announcement, with an estimate for a Q1 2021 v1.0 launch out of Early Access. We’re close to that expected window. Actually, we could’ve shipped this March possibly earlier even with all the crap we dealt with but we figured it best to polish this a bit more instead of releasing a build hot off the presses. I’d update our estimate to put us in mid/end April window.”

Regarding the new content that will be in Version 1.0, No Matter Studios had this to say:

“There are the final boss battles that were pretty huge accomplishments both technically and content wise for us. We also were able to squeeze in quite a bit from our backlog of tasks as well as adding in quite a bit of new content focusing around story/lore/quest/collectibles. In some ways, it might feel like an expansion pack for those that have already played the current Early Access version. So we’re pretty proud of what we accomplished thus far.”
