Covid-19, almost all of Italy in the yellow zone: new rules for travel

Covid-19, almost all of Italy in the yellow zone

Starting yesterday, new rules affect the different regions of Italy. Not surprisingly, with the transition from red or orange areas to the yellow area, the rules introduced in order to contain cases of contagion from Covid-19 have undergone significant changes. Thanks to the new law decree n. 52 of 22 April 2021, fewer restrictions on mobility and reopening of many activities after a long period of closures.

Absolute novelty is the so-called green pass which gives anyone who owns it the opportunity to move freely even between the regions (and municipalities) in the orange and red zone. We remind you, however, that in the yellow regions the movements are free and therefore are allowed without any limitations and the need for a pass. The document will be issued by the authorized facilities or ASL which will certify any vaccination (with two doses) to which one has undergone or the negativity of a rapid or molecular swab. In detail, the green pass will be valid for 6 months in case of vaccination or recovery from Covid-19 and 48 hours for negative swab.

Since Monday 26 April 2021, several regions have returned to the yellow zone, including Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Marche, Umbria, Lazio, Abruzzo, Molise, Campania Autonomous Province of Trento, Autonomous Province of Bolzano and Liguria. Valle d'Aosta, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria and Sicily are still in the orange zone. Sardinia is the only one in the red zone, where any movement, even within the same municipality, must be justified with a specific self-declaration exclusively for reasons of work, health or emergency.

For the yellow areas, however, it is allowed to go to a house different from your own, to visit friends and relatives, for a maximum of 4 people, with children up to 14 years of age or disabled people. Some additional restrictions in the orange area, where it is only allowed to reach homes in the same municipality of residence. Uncommon journeys are valid only among those with a population of less than 5,000 inhabitants and within a radius of no more than 30 km. On the other hand, it is not allowed to move to provincial capitals.

As we know, the various lockdown institutes to counter the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic have led, in addition to mobility limits, to consequent generalized closures. With the passage of the yellow zone, new products also arrive for

for bars and restaurants, where the table can only be consumed outdoors. But let's not forget that it remains in force until June 15th

the curfew from 10pm to 5am the following day.
