PlayStation: Server of a series of exclusive offline games for more than a month

PlayStation

Six weeks after Sony recognized problems with one of its first-party franchises, the online components of the titles still remain inaccessible (including community content). We are talking about the LittleBigPlanet series, a popular platforming saga exclusively for PlayStation. A rather particular situation that has raised several theories in the mind of the community. Indeed, the social media site of the series originally developed by Media Molecule, has been offline since November: five months of inactivity for maintenance!

"Some of you may have noticed that the servers have been online intermittently in the last week. This happens as we test the new security updates we have implemented. Rest assured that we are still working to fully restore the service as soon as possible, ”tweeted the official LittleBigPlanet page a few days ago. Precisely this tweet, as specified above, has sparked several hypotheses on the problems, attributed by the community to more people.

Several users are convinced that some fans of the series were thrown down the servers, dissatisfied with the treatment they Sony would have reserved for its franchise (especially following the release of the last chapter, Sackboy A Big Adventure). Specifically, an individual would have captained dissatisfied users to conduct repeated DDOS attacks. Will this be the truth? Meanwhile, XDEV said it was investigating the reasons for the collapse. We just have to wait for further information from the Japanese giant which, certainly, will not be long in coming.

As always, we invite you to stay tuned with us at Game Division to stay updated on it. Also, did you know that Sony could change the design of the PlayStation 5, to stem the shortage of copies to be distributed in the various markets?
