Tecno Phantom X2: the retractable camera is finally on sale!

Tecno Phantom X2

Although already shown by other manufacturers, the Tecno model will be the first smartphone to actually implement a retractable camera after almost ten years of absence.

In the past Xiaomi and OPPO had already mentioned it , but after Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom (released almost 10 years ago) it will have been a production company unknown to most who brought the idea back into vogue. As a branch of the Transsion, Tecno has in fact shown the world the new Tecno Phantom X2 which makes this "novelty" its peculiar trademark.

The smartphone will be marketed in two versions: basic and Pro. The first will find a 64+13+2 MP camera with ultra-wide angle and depth sensor, while the more advanced version will mount a 50+50+13 MP f/1.9-1.5 camera with ultra-wide angle and Samsung ISOCELL GNV main sensor 1/1.3″. The retractable system allows for a zoom mechanism that does not require an increase in the thickness of the smartphone: the system only extends during use, returning to its basic size when the camera is turned off.

There will also be a central punch-hole to accommodate the 32MP selfie camera. To move everything we find the Mediatek Dimensity 9000 with octa-core CPU up to 3.05GHz Cortex-X2, Mali-G710 MC10 GPU, 8GB of RAM (12 in the Pro version) and 256GB of non-expandable UFS 3.1 memory. For the battery, both models will mount a 5160mAh fast charging 45W
