It has been announced Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac 3 , the third season of the new animated series of the Knights of the Zodiac . This is an official announcement, as it comes directly from  Crunchyroll , who made this important announcement during the CCXP event in Brazil.

Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac is the CG anime based on the original manga Knights of the Zodiac by Masami Kurumada. Crunchyroll will air the anime in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States, Former Soviet Republics).

As of right now, Crunchyroll has yet to announce a release date or launch window for Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac 3. The first and second seasons of the series, the latter entitled Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac – Battle for Sanctuary , are both already available on Crunchyroll .



We leave you below the official synopsis of the second season of the series, which adapts a narrative arc very well known even by all those who already know the first, historic animated series of the Knights of the Zodiac :

Since ancient times the young warriors who protect the goddess Athena are known as the Knights of the Zodiac. A young orphan, Seiya, is destined to become the Pegasus Knight. Athena has been reincarnated in the young Lady Isabel, but this time under a dark prophecy that will see her lose the war against Poseidon and Hades, a defeat that will lead humanity to ruin.

Seiya, together with the other young bronze knights, opposes this prophecy with all his strength, promising himself to protect Athena at all costs. But now a killer arrow has struck dead the heart of the Goddess. To save Athena's life, Seiya and his companions will have to reach the Great Temple and defeat the twelve legendary Golden Saints and he has only twelve hours to do it. Will he make it? And what will happen to the dark prophecy if the Knights of Athena are successful?
