Sony: Another reference to the takeover of Bluepoint Games

Sony

For a few months the rumor has been circulating that Sony Interactive Entertainment is supposed to take over the development studio Bluepoint Games. Recently there was even an indication that this takeover had probably already been wrapped up. However, an official confirmation or even an announcement is still pending. That could change soon, however, if Twitter user and leaker Nick "Shpeshal Nick" Baker has their way.

He is one of the founders of XboxEra and has correspondingly good contacts within the gaming industry. He recently spoke up and came up with a "surprise" that Sony is said to have planned for the next edition of State of Play. This had already been spoiled by an accident recently.

"It looks like Sony Japan has already revealed the surprise via Twitter? I was just told that the surprise was about that Bluepoint has been taken over. "

Accordingly, there are currently many indications that the takeover of Bluepoint Games has already been wrapped up. Only the confirmation or announcement by Sony Interactive Entertainment has so far been made public. If Nick Baker is correct with his statements, we will be a little smarter after the next issue of State of Play. According to current rumors, this should take place on July 8, 2021 - this Thursday. But there is still no official confirmation for this either.
