Model Kit Mania arrives
The GunPla and the model kits of other iconic mechas, super robots and anime characters, produced by the Japanese company Bandai and imported into Italy by Cosmic Group, have become over the years a true symbol of Japanese pop culture. Thanks to the various lockdowns that came into force due to the Covid-19 pandemic that is still scourging the globe, these kits of assemblable models are experiencing a real moment of glory, as they represent a fun pastime and a hobby for many people " different from the usual ", able to give a few hours of lightheartedness.So here we are to meet the fans of this magnificent hobby, especially those who are approaching us for the first time, want to start trying it or just intrigued, with Model Kit Mania, a new format that, from tomorrow Tuesday 6 April 2021, will be broadcast every Tuesday from 15:00 to 17:00 on the Twitch channel of Cultura Pop, reachable at: https: // www.twitch.tv/culturapopita.
In the succession of the Model Kit Mania broadcasts, we will assemble together some of the most beloved subjects taken from the Japanese animated series and feature films i, revealing techniques and tricks to get the best possible result with these plastic model kits. We will then see what the tools necessary for the company are, we will discover how to assemble a model kit, starting from a simple "dry" assembly to then arrive at a completely painted model, as the paneling shows, to finally reach the realization of effects of weathering and chipping.
To kick off the dances we will have three Eva model kits available, the “mecha” of the animated series Neon Genesis Evangelion. In this case, we will have the Eva-00, the Eva-02 and the Eva-08 α taken from the new cinematic tetralogy Rebuild of Evangelion. Do you want to know which model we will start from? Watch the first installment of ‘Fernandomania @ 40' on April 8
The Los Angeles Times is inviting subscribers to the exclusive premiere of the first installment of “Fernandomania @ 40,” the Times’ multi-episode documentary series that examines star pitcher Fernando Valenzuela’s impact on the Dodgers, Major League Baseball and the Latino community in Los Angeles 40 years ago.
Valenzuela continues to resonate long after wrapping up his baseball career and taking over as the Dodgers’ Spanish-language TV color commentator. He is featured on murals and has inspired countless other works of art, serving as a role model for the Mexican-American community.
After a screening of the first installment at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 8, Times columnist Gustavo Arellano, deputy sports editor Iliana Limón Romero and Mexican-American baseball historian Dr. Richard Santillán will discuss the fan frenzy surrounding the humble Mexican pitcher’s record-setting rookie season and answer questions from subscribers.
