Hyundai aims for carbon neutrality by 2045

Hyundai announces that it intends to work on several fronts to eliminate CO2 emissions from all stages of production, making its range of vehicles completely carbon free. The company aims to achieve the goal not only by creating less polluting vehicles, but by committing to reduce the impact on the environment even in the production phase. The Seoul brand has in fact declared that it intends to use electricity from renewable resources for 90% by 2040, and 100% by the year 2045.

This is a ambitious goal that will bring real revolutions within the production plants. Among these there is also that of Nošovice in the Czech Republic. The plant, in operation for twelve years, prides itself on hosting every phase of the production process, from molding to welding, passing through painting and finally with the assembly phase. It currently has 3,200 employees. There are three models produced: Tucson, Kona Eletric and the i30 range, consisting of the Wagon, the Fastback and the N.

The plant in question is already powered solely by renewable sources, but soon Hyundai will continue moreover, by installing on a portion of the roof of the factory and on the roofs of the storage parking lots to be built, solar panels for the self-production of the energy that the system needs. But the initiatives of the Korean house do not stop there. In fact, in the area adjacent to the factory, biodiversity is encouraged, allowing the endemic flora to grow freely and allowing the local fauna to find its habitat unaltered.| ); }
