Scream 6: Hayden Panettiere returns

Scream 6

As we had reported, Spyglass Entertainment and Paramount Pictures have given the green light to the production of Scream 6. It had already been announced that Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding and Jenna Ortega, would be among the protagonists of the new film in the franchise. They will also be joined by Hayden Panettiere reprising her role as fan favorite Kirby Reed! For Hayden Panettiere, Scream 6 will be the first film after eight years of absence from the big screen.

Scream 6: the return of Hayden Panettiere

Scream 6 brings the actress back to the screen after a long hiatus since her ABC drama Nashville wrapped in 2018. Best known for her roles in Heroes, Ice Princess and Panettiere she has proven to be a dynamic performer in numerous genres.

Everything we know about Scream 6

The creative team behind Scream 5 is ready to return: Radio Silence's Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett will direct the film again, while screenwriters James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick will return to write the screenplay.

Plot-wise details are kept under wraps, but Scream 6 is said to revolve around the four survivors of the latest Woodsboro murders as they leave town and begin a new chapter. Then Scream 6 will resume where the previous chapter ended, with Sam (Barrera), Mindy (Brown), Chad (Gooding) and Tara (Ortega), the four survivors of the recent trail of murders caused by Ghostface, who decide to leave Woodsboro to start over elsewhere.

Filming for the sequel, once again produced by Radio Silence, will kick off in the summer. While waiting for Scream 6, recover the Blue-Ray of Scream - Who Screams Dies available on Amazon!
