Thor

“I'll tell you the story of the space Viking”, thus begins the new official trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder, the fourth film dedicated to the son of Odin played by Chris Hemsworth and 29th overall in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As already clear from previous previews, the new film will focus on a Thor who, after getting back into shape from the state in which he was reduced in Avengers: Endgam and, is facing an identity crisis, not only for the indecision about his own future but also because he finds himself practically doubled. In fact, alongside him, his first terrestrial flame will return, Jane Foster, played by Natalie Portman who, however, has a surprise: she has in fact assumed powers similar to those of the god of thunder and has therefore become Mighty Thor, wielding the mythical Mjolnir.

That of Thor in the female version is not the only surprise of the film, however. This new clip, in fact, also shows us the first images of Gorr the butcher of the gods, the villain who will give our protagonists a hard time. Played by a completely transfigured Christian Bale (in a look that closely resembles Voldemort, it must be said), this intergalactic assassin will not have peace until he has eliminated all the gods of the universe, even if it will be Thor himself who gives him the to twist. Among the new entries that we see best in this trailer is Russell Crowe, called to interpret Zeus, king of Olympus who slightly exaggerates to reveal the graces of a very physical (and apparently very gifted) Thor.

The film will also return Tessa Thompson and Taika Waititi as Valkyrie and Korg respectively, but the Guardians of the Galaxy will also return (Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper) , although we only see a brief image of Nebula and Drax here. Waititi also returns to direct the adventures of the Norse god after the success of the phantasmagoric Ragnarok in 2017. Thor: Love and Thunder, on the other hand, will be released in Italian cinemas starting next July 6th.

Chris Hemsworth is back as the God of Thunder – and one villain is ready to take him down.

The actor has returned as Marvel’s Thor in the latest film for the comic franchise titled 'Thor: Love and Thunder.' In a new trailer released on Monday, viewers got a sneak peek at Christian Bale, who is starring as the villainous Gorr the God Butcher.

A clip from the trailer was first debuted during Game 4 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals.

The film’s director, Taika Waititi, who co-stars as the comical alien Korg, tells 'the story of space Viking Thor Odinson,' who saves planet Earth 'for the 500th time' and gets in shape after sporting a dad bod in 'Avengers: Endgame' before embarking on a new journey.

CHRIS HEMSWORTH'S BULGING ARM AND SKINNY LEGS HAS SOCIAL MEDIA TALKING

In the trailer, Hemsworth is seen taking on a grueling workout that’s out of this world, including dragging an entire spaceship with a heavy chain before reaching for his Mjölnir hammer.

'And after all that, he reclaimed his title as the one and only Thor,' said Korg.

The hammer then slips from Thor’s reach and flies into the grip of Dr. Jane Foster, played by Natalie Portman. The former flame flaunts a new silver winged helmet as the Mighty Thor.

'Oh, spoke too soon,' Korg replied.

Waititi previously directed 2017's 'Thor: Ragnarok' to rave reviews. While Portman did not appear in that film, the 40-year-old did play Thor's love interest in 2011's 'Thor' and 2013’s 'Thor: The Dark World.'

'Thor: Love and Thunder' premieres in theaters on July 8.
