It's official, the OnePlus Nord 2 5G will be unveiled to the world by the end of the month. The announcement of the presentation date was given by Pete Lau himself, who wrote a short post on the official OnePlus forum in which he recalled the results obtained by the Nord range.Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus , announced the official launch date for the OnePlus Nord 2 5G, the smartphone that has already been confirmed will be the first model produced by the company to use a MediaTek chip. The two companies have worked closely together to make a customized version of the chip called the Dimensity 1200-AI that will move the second generation of Nord.
The first and original OnePlus Nord has been a hugely successful product for the 'company. In Europe and India, the co-founder recalls, the smartphone achieved the best first-day sales figures ever for the brand, becoming the most pre-ordered product ever on Amazon India.
A following were announced the OnePlus Nord N100 and OnePlus Nord N10 5G, two entry level products for fans on the tightest budget. The OnePlus Nord CE 5G recently arrived to bridge the gap between these models.

OnePlus Nord 2 5G will be officially announced on 22 July next, so there is no shortage of all the improvements that the company has managed to make to its mid-range product par excellence.

Having just (literally: yesterday) announced to the world that its upcoming affordable phone, the Nord 2, is real, OnePlus has now given us another tidbit of information: its launch date.
The OnePlus Nord 2 5G (that's the full name) is officially launching on July 22, at 2:30 p.m. ET. Yes, they could've told us that yesterday, but this is so much more exciting...no?
The company didn't share any new details about the phone, but we know that it'll have a MediaTek processor with 5G support.
While we're on the subject of OnePlus, the company also recently admitted it's been throttling the performance of many popular apps on its OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro phones, shortly after Anandtech discovered it independently.
In a statement provided to XDA Developers, the company said it was 'matching the app's processor requirements with the most appropriate power' in order to 'provide a smooth experience while reducing power consumption.'
For the end user, this means that some apps may be a tad slower than they could be on OnePlus phones, which should save some battery life, but could be disappointing if performance is what you're after.
