GTA 6: Schreier confirms rumors about leaker Tom Henderson's release date

GTA 6: Schreier confirms rumors about leaker Tom Henderson's release date

Recent rumors, shared by well-known leaker Tom Henderson, have allowed us to discover that GTA 6 is much further away than players are hoping for. In terms of release date, we are talking about 2025, or a wait of another four years. Now, Jason Schreier confirms that when pointed out by Henderson it is similar to everything he has heard about the Rockstar Games game.

Jason Schreier - who we remember is a well-known Bloomberg reporter and industry insider - also says that GTA 6 is "still in the early stages of development" and that it "has an evolving / expanding map", as indicated by some of its reports from last year. Schreier also claims that he has seen nothing of the game and only knows at what point in development you are.

In April 2021, Schreier shared some information about GTA 6 via the Triple Click podcast. On that occasion, he had talked about 2022 and 2023: this prompted many players to think that GTA 6 was close. In reality, the reporter was talking about the possible release date in the event that there was no COVID-19 pandemic, which created multiple development problems for the entire gaming industry.

Tom Henderson, however, has talked about much more regarding GTA 6, which seems to be arriving only on PS5, Xbox Series X | S and PC, we also talk about the setting.

'GTA 6' Reportedly Set In Contemporary Version Of This Heavily-Rumored Map, Fans Think Otherwise

  • The location of the rumored 'GTA 6' was recently revealed by an insider
  • It confirmed previous rumors about the game's setting
  • Some fans have other interesting ideas about the location of 'GTA 6'
  • 'Grand Theft Auto 6' or 'GTA 6' would reportedly feature seasonal updates similar to 'Fortnite' and 'Call of Duty: Warzone,' which triggers speculations that the heavily rumored sequel might not be set in Vice City, but a reliable video games insider thinks otherwise.

A new video from industry insider Tom Henderson contains interesting details about 'GTA 6,' including its setting or location. According to the industry insider, the rumored sequel would take the series back to Vice City. Henderson claimed that unlike in 'Grand Theft Auto: Vice City,' 'GTA 6' would introduce the map in a modern setting.

This is because Rockstar Games, the developer behind the hit 'Grand Theft Auto' franchise, reportedly feels like they have more autonomy within the structure of the rumored title. So they could make it contemporary instead of placing the game in a particular era like the rumored 1980s. Earlier, Henderson claimed that 'GTA 6' would feature seasonal map updates with new downloadable content.

Several fans took the seasonal update literally and assumed that it refers to the changes in the season like winter, spring, summer and fall. This theory supports a previously discovered patent, which suggests that the game could feature multiple evolving cities. Other fans believe the game would be set in New York or Liberty City in the 'GTA' world.

The seasonal weather type is present in the city as shown in other games and the same weather condition could be used for Chicago, according to earlier rumors. Several other fans claimed that the rumored sequel could be set in London or somewhere else in Europe. It is also a possible location since London is the home of the first 'GTA' title.

Project Americas, a popular 'GTA 6' rumor, which predicts that the upcoming sequel would be heavily influenced by the hit Netflix series 'Narcos,' suggested that the game would be set in South America. Over the past months, fans pitched Bogota, Colombia and even some remote islands that were reportedly hinted at in 'Red Dead Redemption 2' and GTA Online's' Cayo Perico heist.

Unfortunately, even Henderson has advised fans to take information about 'GTA 6' with skepticism. Rockstar Games has not yet confirmed that it is working on the next title for the 'GTA' series.
