RTX 4090 in August? More details on upcoming Nvidia launches

Videocardz got new info regarding the possible launch date of Nvidia's first RTX 4000 GPUs. What leaked confirms again the launch order of the models anticipated by the insider kopite7kimi, according to which we should first be able to witness the debut of the most powerful model, namely the RTX 4090, anticipating the 4080 and 4070 in order.

The RTX 4090 will use the AD102 graphics chip with 16128 CUDA cores, 24GB of 24Gbps GGDR6X video memory, 384-bit bus width and a 450W TDP. With these specifications, the card should deliver a huge performance leap over its previous generation counterpart, although the power requirements will require the use of a very powerful power supply. According to Videocardz, the card should debut in August, followed by the 4080 with 16 GB memory and 256-bit bus in September and the 4070 with 12 GB and 192-bit bus in October.

In addition to the RTX 4000 series, Nvidia is also engaged in the launch of the GTX 1630, a new model of Turing GPU designed for economic configurations. This is a reduced-spec version that was supposed to be available as early as May 31, but has undergone a further delay.
