From Software has more projects in development

With Elden Ring From Software has hit the mark, there is no doubt. Not only did the new IP of the Japanese team manage to meet the already high expectations of fans, but in record time it became one of the most talked about games of the year. Now that several months have passed since the launch of the game, discussions about the interregnum have dropped significantly, but fans of this well-known development studio are already beginning to wonder what will be in From's plans after the sensational Elden Ring.

Elden Ring It is very likely that it will take a while to wait for a concrete answer to this question, but in the meantime, it was From Software itself that dropped an important clue about its future. Just in these hours, the official Twitter profile of the Japanese team has been updated with the publication of a post that is anything but unusual for a studio that makes video games. In the post From declares that he has opened hiring to various positions within the company, but not only.| ); }

Beyond to this clue an interview was also published on the net in which Miyazaki himself confirmed that one of these titles not yet announced is in the final stages of development. The game director also confirmed that he is already hard at work on his next game and that Elden Ring will continue to receive further updates.

FromSoftware is working on “several new projects”

FromSoftware, the Japanese studio behind games like Elden Ring and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, is working on “several projects.”

The developer has launched a recruitment website, and there are dozens of roles on there. FromSoftware says that it is “looking for development staff to be at the core of several new projects.”

Hidetaka Miyazaki, the studio’s president, has spoken in an interview with 4Gamer. In the interview, Miyazaki says that another project is nearing completion. Miyazaki also says that these upcoming games have directors of their own. Which is a change. The last FromSoftware game that didn’t feature Miyazaki as director was Dark Souls II.

Miyazaki co-directed Déraciné, a PlayStation VR mystery along with Shigeto Hirai and Takaaki Yamagishi. Perhaps we will see their names appearing at the masthead of something completely unexpected. It is entirely possible, of course, that FromSoftware will dip its toes back into virtual reality. The studio seems unable to fail, no matter what it tries its hand at. I even relished parts of Metal Wolf Chaos XD.

Though I think it would be a shame, it seems unlikely that Elden Ring won’t get a sequel, given its huge success. More exciting, still, is the prospect that we will get something entirely new.
