Do you like 3D printing? This site could be for you

If you are passionate about 3D printing or have recently decided to enter this world, the new Printables.com platform could certainly attract your attention. The site was recently launched by Josef Průša and his research team, currently at the head of PrusaResearch, a company specializing in the production of 3D printers and specific products. It is an open platform, where users can upload or download models to be made with 3D printers of any brand.

The site was born by renaming the PrusaPrinters.org portal and is surprisingly absent from any advertising, although the 'company sells models of its own production in a dedicated section. Prusa has also introduced a points system to reward activity on the site: users can earn more points by uploading new models, model collections, or posting photos with their creations.

PrusaResearch's Printables.com website
The PrusaResearch site is in fact aimed at all fans of 3D printing, as well as to those who are taking their first steps and have just started printing objects. The company was founded by the Czech entrepreneur Josef Průša and originated from a small basement workshop, where parts for 3D printers were made and sold. After the success of the first self-produced Prusa i3 printer, it now has 600 employees, becoming one of the most established brands in the field of 3D printing, with over 9000 printers shipped worldwide.
