Although little and nothing is known about Mafia 4, a recent leak may have revealed the first details. According to the source, the title will take place in different locations, including Lost Heaven and Saint Fortuna. What is very interesting is what the rumor says about it: users will be able to play through different timelines, as well as in multiple cities. Mafia 4 will thus be set in both the 40s and the 80s, but unfortunately there is no other information regarding this detail.As for the playable characters, the leak refers to a policeman corrupt named Hain, who will have to deal with a scam in the world of gambling, a detail that will probably link back to the setting of Saint Fortuna. In fact, the plot does not seem to be totally linear and users will be able to choose whether to continue the criminal life or put an end to the round of illegality.
The leak also speaks of a second character, opposite to that of Hain, represented by a judge whose role is to put an end to the criminal activities of the mafia. Curious is the fact that the rumor directly mentions the time jump of forty years with the events of the latter protagonist, as if to indicate that the historical differences will concern only him. Recall that to date the new chapter of the series has not even been announced, which is why it is interesting to see how this information came out of nowhere.
However, it's safe to believe that 2K is already hard at work producing this title and it wouldn't surprise at all for an announcement in the coming months. Having no official confirmations or denials, we must remember that we cannot give the above information for certain and that it must therefore be taken with a grain of salt.
