Be forewarned: Vader Immortal is more of a VR experience than a full-fledged game (allow three hours and a challenge mode to see the end). But this short format gives it quite a few arguments. The game is well paced, well done, and offers confrontations which, even if they are not very demanding, provide good sensations. The well-crafted dialogues are linked, bringing their share of small manipulations to unlock doors and some escalation sequences. The powers also arrive as and when, and Vader Immortal thus brings together small things here and there, ingredients of a title where we do not get bored. Nothing revolutionary in the program but it works well. Not much to add except some detection problems on the side of the PS Move, which will prevent you from time to time to hang up the sword on your belt. But not enough to come out of the Star Wars universe so far. Vader Immortal is ultimately a solid VR title, whose qualities will be able to convince even those who are not hardcore fans of the world of George Lucas.

EPISODE I
Step into a galaxy far, far away and experience the first Star Wars story designed exclusively for virtual reality. Descend into Darth Vader’s mysterious fortress alongside new allies and encounter fearsome enemies, including the Sith Lord himself. Be at the center of a story in which you hold the key to the galaxy’s salvation… or destruction.
ILMxLAB revealed that the Vader Immortal series will be released as a special retail edition for PlayStation VR this Spring in collaboration with Perp Games. The disc release will include a host of exciting extras, including physical postcards and never-before-seen video footage.
