Apex Legends developers look ahead with a new IP

Apex Legends certainly represents a great success for Respawn Entertainment. The Battle Royale has in fact quickly become one of the most played, managing to enter a market dominated by PUBG, Fortnite and Call of Duty Warzone and still coming out with great support from the players. Despite this, the development team knows very well that it is necessary to go further and it is for this reason that on Twitter it announced that it is working on a new project, defined by Vince Zampella (founder of the development team) as a very exciting project.

It will hardly be another project along the lines of Apex Legends but not even a sequel to any other Respawn Entertainment project. In fact, there are no sequels to Titanfall or Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The new IP is in fact built from scratch and therefore something completely new is expected, never seen before and it is definitely a very encouraging premise.

Unfortunately, let's put our soul in peace: the developers of Apex Legends are indeed working on a new IP, yes, but the team behind it is very small. To reveal it is in fact Steven Kah Hien Wong, one of the programmers of Respawn Entertainment. The new project is currently in the early stages of development and some members are still being sought for development, including a coder.

Despite the lack of news, Respawn Entertainment's next IP is certainly an important news . The studio led by Vince Zampella could in fact afford to relax thanks to the success of Apex Legends but preferred to get involved with a new project, which at this point we can't wait to see. Curiosity is skyrocketing considering the previous ones but a reveal appears decidedly far away, so let's get comfortable and await news on it, which we will report to you as soon as they are available.
