Chris Hemsworth ready to leave the Marvel Cinematic Universe

After the farewell of Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the remaining members of the Avengers united in Avengers (2012) are less and less. Natasha Romanoff sacrificed herself in Avengers: Endgame , Bruce Banner seems to be little affected by the current status of the franchise and Clint Burton seems to have left the arc to his pupil Kate Bishop at the end of Hawkeye . To be still in full swing seems to be left only Thor, the god of thunder that we recently revisited in action in Thor: Love and Thunder. However, it seems that the interpreter of the Asagardian, Chris Hemsworth, is also ready to leave the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Thor of the big screen, Chris Hemsworth, would be ready to leave the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Although at the end of Thor: Love and Thunder we saw the god of thunder in a new guise, it seems that the actor intends to leave Mjolnir to devote himself to other projects, which would make Thor 4, a film already aired by director Taika Waititi, as Chris Hemsworth's latest project within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

I have a feeling that we should probably close this chapter if I have to play the character again. I feel like it should be the ending, but it's a feeling that's not based on anything I've been told. We have the birth of the hero, the hero's journey, and finally the death of the hero, and I'm wondering if I've gotten to that point. Who knows?

Not necessarily this thought of Hemsworth has to materialize with the death of Thor. The next plans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe allow to see the Asgardian god in action within ensemble films, such as Avengers: Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars , but it could also create a sense of legacy of the character, perhaps by re-engaging Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, aka Mighty Thor.
