PS5: Sales of Gran Turismo 7 and Horizon Forbidden West increase in the UK thanks to new stocks

PS5

According to information shared by GamesIndustry's Chris Dring, both the sales of Gran Turismo 7 and Horizon Forbidden West in the last week have increased dramatically in the UK, a sign that Sony has released new PS5 stock in the past few days.

As previously reported, Gran Turismo 7 is third in the Top 10 best-selling games in the UK last week, while Horizon Forbidden West is fourth. A result not only extremely positive for the two Sony PlayStation productions but also quite interesting: the Polyphony Digital racing game the previous week did not even figure in the top ten, while the latest effort by Guerrilla Games was in seventh place. In short, both games have recovered important positions, reaching the top of the English top 10.

According to Chris Dring, the reason is that Sony has distributed new stocks of PS5, consequently also pushing the sales of Gran Turismo 7 and Horizon Forbidden West, two of the flagships of PlayStation Studios for 2022.

It is no secret that Sony's flagship console is incredibly difficult to buy in stores due to manufacturing problems resulting from the semiconductor crisis. Particularly in recent months the availability of PS5 has deteriorated further all over the world, including Italy of course.

This new console stock in the UK could be a positive sign and indicate an increasing PS5 production capacity and therefore, hopefully, also greater availability in stores in the coming weeks.

Slick Action RPG Thymesia Plagues PS5 This August

Thymesia first caught our eye in November of last year, when its debut gameplay trailer had us calling it 'Bloodborne with backflips'. That description still applies, with Thymesia looking pretty darn slick in its newest video, which also confirms that it's slashing to PS5 on the 9th August.

If the combat ends up feeling as good as it looks, then we could be onto a real winner here. Hopefully we get some extended gameplay footage leading up to launch.
