Apparently we won't have to wait too long to find out what's coming with Genshin Impact Update 2.7, always as long as the latest deep throat blows will prove to be correct. According to some rumors that appeared on the well-known Discord server Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, the date for the live broadcast on Twitch for the presentation of the next version of the miHoYo action RPG is set for Friday, May 20.

The rumor, reported on the pages of Dualshockers, obviously it is to be taken with a grain of salt, but if it is confirmed then we can assume that the launch of Update 2.7 should be set around the first days of June, given the typical amount of time that elapses between a direct miHoYo and the publication of new updates. We'll see.

Yelan and Kiku Shinobu, the two new characters coming with Genshin Impact version 2.7 The same source also states that during the first phase of Genshin Impact version 2.7 there will be the Yelan banner and the rerun of that of Xiao and consequently their respective weapons in the Epitome. The 4-star cover characters will instead be Noelle, Barbara and Yanfei. In the second phase, instead, there will be the rerun of Itto, with Kiku Shinobu among the 4-star characters. For weapons beyond Itto's claymore Redhorn Stonethresher we will also find the catalyst Memory of Dust.

In the meantime, miHoYo has announced the upcoming compensation bonuses to apologize for the postponement of Update 2.7, which include rivers of Primogem on a weekly basis.

miHoYo has officially confirmed that the Genshin Impact HoYoWiki has now launched and fans have been reacting to the news on social media.

The official Genshin Impact Twitter account confirmed on Saturday 7th May 2022 that there was now a HoYoWiki for the game.


The account revealed: “Greetings, Travelers. The Genshin Impact HoYoWiki is officially ready for everyone! Let’s get acquainted with it together.”

The company gave more details on the new Wiki via the official HoYoLab website. The developers noted that: “What is the Genshin Impact HoYoWiki? 


“Genshin Impact HoYoWiki is a game database published by HoYoLAB and created together with the player community that can help Travelers review and record information about the world of Teyvat at any time.”

Redditors on the r/Genshin_Impact_Leaks subreddit have been reacting to the news since miHoYo confirmed the launch of the new website:


There has been a mixed response from the player base, with many stating that they will likely be staying with their usual go-to sites for Genshin information.


One gamer wrote: “It’s basically the same as the fandom wiki with less functions and info bruh.”


Another player laid out a great Pros and Cons list for others to check out before doing a deep dive on the new site themselves:

  • Looks great, beautiful UI
  • It’s official

  • It’s horrendously laggy compared to Fandom/Honey/KQM Library
  • No leaked characters
  • Barebones data so far, though this may change
  • Lots of data is pointlessly collapsed by default, forcing you to click the expand button
  • Simultaneously, lots of empty spaces force you to scroll a lot
  • No comment section (which is very useful on the Fandom wiki)
  • URLs aren’t intuitive. You can’t just type “Keqing” in the last bit of the URL to go to Keqing’s page. On HoYo Wiki Keqing URL is simply “10”

    • Unfortunately, it appears as though there isn’t a huge amount to get players invested in this new system, but hopefully, it can be worked on more by the community and miHoYo to create a brilliant resource for Genshin Impact!
