These are the reasons that prompted the Taiwanese Geil to present the first DDR5 RAM memories with active cooling. The new EVO V series uses heatsinks made of molded aluminum, with customizable RGB LED light and two small integrated fans that keep memories cool during the most intense workloads. In addition to keeping the heat at bay, adopting fans should also increase the overclocking potential of the modules.

Geil's EVO V series includes 32GB or 64GB kits available in two different color shades, with frequencies ranging from 4800MHz to 6600MHz. The modules are also equipped with ECC (Error Correction Code), in order to ensure maximum operational stability, as well as supporting the latest Intel XMP 3.0 profile. Availability? Everywhere starting in July.
In addition to already being supported by the current Alder Lake CPUs, the DDR5 standard will also be adopted by the upcoming Intel Raptor Lake and AMD Ryzen 7000 Zen 4 to be released in September, the latter will implement also new technologies to further push the frequencies of the new memories.
