The youtuber Somari has completed the historical collection of NES games after 20 years

It took over 20 years for the youtuber Somari, a huge Nintendo fan, to complete the collection of all the NES games released in the history of the 8-bit console of the company, but the company is finally over.

In December 2000, Somari began his mission to collect all the games for Famicom released in the history of the Nintendo console, a difficult undertaking given that there are 1053 titles, all to be owned strictly with box and instruction booklet. The adventure finally ended positively in the past few weeks, in particular with the purchase of Snow Bros., which was the last title missing from the personal collection.

Somari proudly displays his Snow Bros. . for Famicom, the latest game in the Snow Bros. collection, it cost the youtuber about $ 665, but it is not even the highest amount spent on this complex undertaking. The action game of Taoplan, however, proved to be particularly difficult to find in excellent condition, for this reason it was the last to complete the toy library.

Among the most expensive games purchased by Somari, Battle Rush is mentioned as the most expensive of all priced at 250,000 yen (about $ 2,290), followed by Mobile Suit Z Gundam: Hot Scramble for 120,960 yen (or $ 1,108) and then Exciting Boxing for 101,990 yen ($ 935). The greatest difficulty lies in being able to find the titles in perfect condition, because the youtuber wanted to build a collection with the titles complete with cartridge, box and booklet.

Somari's undertaking was followed with great enthusiasm in Japan, so much so that the news of the conclusion of the collection was even given to a television news: "When I was in junior high school, I went through a lot of terrible moments that I don't want to remember", he Somari stated in an interview for the occasion, "At that time, I was greatly helped by the Famicom".

The collection of Somari therefore seems to have a very profound meaning also for its past. Thankfully, it didn't have to go through completely crazy expenses like the record price of $ 660,000 for the rare copy of Super Mario Bros. that sold at auction last month to complete it.
