League of Legends World Championship 2021: date and place of the esports event of the year

League of Legends World Championship 2021

Recently Riot Games has made official the date and place of one of the esports events, if not the most important esports event of the year: the League of Legends World Championship 2021. For the final of the LoL world championship, Riot has chosen the Universiade Sports Center in Shenzhen where, starting from November 6, 2021, the final stages of the tournament will be held in front of an audience that could reach 60 thousand units, that is the capacity of the Shenzhen FC stadium, a top division team of the Chinese football championship.

It would therefore be the return in style of Riot Games and LoL, with a worthy event, in terms of size and logistical commitment , of those of the past years. Last year, in fact, the 2021 World Championship finals were held in Shanghai, but in a sort of "bubble" protected and isolated from the outside like the one that protected NBA players during last year's finals.

This is therefore the second consecutive year in China. Usually, however, the Worlds Finals of LoL are itinerant and are held in rotation in Asia, North America and Europe. In 2019, for example, they were held in Paris, in 2018 in South Korea, in 2017 in Beijing and in 2016 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
