Elite Dangerous: Frontier CEO Apologizes for Odyssey

Elite Dangerous

The new expansion Elite Dangerous: Odyssey was released recently and is currently in rather poor condition. The user ratings on Steam have fallen further and meanwhile just 31% of the almost 3,500 reviews are positive. Players complain about various technical issues and poor gameplay. Frontier Developments CEO David Braben apologized on the official Elite Dangerous forum for the bad start of the expansion:

"First of all, I would like to apologize from the bottom of my heart to those who are suffering from the problems of the expansion . I would like to assure you that we take the problems very seriously and that they are our top priority. "

He also announced a second hotfix, which should address the various bugs. This has already been published. The CEO also addresses the poor performance on less powerful devices and "tries to get to the bottom of the matter".

Braben ends his contribution with a thank you to the community:

"I want to Thank you all for your patience and support. The Elite Dangerous Community has always been at the heart of the game. We know some players are having problems and I assure you that we are totally focused on fixing them and you keep informed of how we are addressing the issues ".
