In April, we must prepare to say goodbye to two of the most acclaimed TV series of recent years, Succession and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel . Also in the serial calendar of the month there will be new awaited returns, such as those of Yellowjackets, Schmigadoon! and Sweet Tooths, but also absolute novelties such as the Italian The Good Mothers, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies based on the legendary film and the ambitious Citadel, an international spy series created by Joe and Anthony Russo.

But here is the list of the main TV series to watch in the coming weeks:

Succession , fourth season from April 3 on Sky and Now

The acclaimed Hbo series is back for the last season starring the fierce members of the Roy family. The sale of the family media company Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård) is imminent, straining relations between patriarch Logan (Brian Cox) and his children (Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook), each of whom seeks to maintain their privileges at any cost.

The Good Mothers , season one from April 5 on Disney+

The new original Italian series The Good Mothers , after winning the Berlinale Series Award, debuts with its six episodes that tell the 'Ndrangheta from the point of view of the women who dared to challenge it, namely Lea Garofalo's daughter Denise Cosco (Gaia Girace), Giuseppina Pesce (Valentina Bellè) and the public prosecutor who help, Anna Colace (Barbara Chichiarelli).

Schmigadoon! , Season 2 Season April 5 on Apple TV+

After finding true love in the town of Schmigadoon , the second season of this musical series will follow married couple Josh (Keegan-Michael Key) and Melissa (Cecily Strong) to Schmicago , the world inspired by the musicals of the sixties and seventies.

The Goldbergs, tenth season from April 6 on Infinity+

The tenth and final season of the beloved series The Goldbergs arrives in Italy to conclude the events of the brothers, Adam, Barry and Erica, set in the eighties. In this final cycle there will be Jeff Garlin , the Murray patriarch, as the actor was removed after allegations of violent behavior on the set.

Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies , first season from April 7 on Paramount+

Inspired by the cult musical , the series takes place in 1954 , or four years before the events of the film, telling how four initially marginalized girls will upset the scenario of Rydell High bringing the revolution with them irrepressible of rock'n'roll . In the cast the protagonists are played by Marisa Davila, Cheyenne Isabel Wells, Ari Notartomaso and Tricia Fukuhara.

Transatlantic, first season from April 7 on Netflix

From the creators of Unorthodox , here is a series set in 1940 Marseille and inspired by the true story of Varian Fry, Mary Jayne Gold and the Emergency Rescue Committee. An international group of young blunders risk their lives to help over two thousand refugees escape Nazi-occupied France, including many of the regime's most sought-after artists.

The little things in life, first season April 7 on Disney+

Based on the novels by Cheryl Strayed and adapted by Liz Tigelaar, this new series centers on Clare ( Kathryn Hahn , fresh from the successes of WandaVision and Glass Onion ), a writer who, after a painful divorce and with a daughter who hates her, she decides to take a newspaper advice column, discovering in turn how to put her stormy life back on track.

The mysteries of Whitstable Pearl, second season from April 11 on Sky and Now

A single mother and restaurant owner, Pearl is now a well-known private investigator in the English town of Whitstable. His investigations, however, often overlap with those of police detective Mike Mcguire: between the two, despite the apparent tensions, a harmony is born that proves to be very effective in solving puzzles.

Rennervations , first season from April 12 on Disney+

While his health conditions improve day by day, after the accident that saw him involved with a snowplow at the end of 2022, Jeremy Renner is the protagonist of this documentary miniseries in which he travels the world in search of inventions destined to change the lives of young people all over the world. Among the guests of the four episodes also famous colleagues such as Anthony Mackie (the new Captain America of the Marvel films) and Vanessa Hudgens .
