Fantic Motor is preparing to significantly expand its range of electric vehicles, with the imminent arrival on the market of the Issimo City electric scooter, previewed during the last edition of EICMA.

Fantic and Minarelli have reached an agreement that will allow the two historical motor companies in Italy to find a new space on the market, a position more in line with the new sensitivity that the public has developed towards city mobility, which must be increasingly sustainable: already from 2023, according to the words of the general manager of Fantic, Vittorino Filippas, 50% of the company's production will be dedicated to electric vehicles, with the new Issimo City which will be produced in 100 units per day.

--> Issimo City offers itself as a valid ally in the urban jungle and will be available in an L1e version, comparable to an old 50cc, and an L3e, equivalent to a 125cc scooter. Initially, the L1e model will arrive, equipped with a 3kW electric motor and a 2.2 kWh battery which, according to the WMTC cycle, ensures a range of up to 70 km; for the more demanding, a second battery can be added to double the range, while the maximum speed is 45 km/h.

The price of the L1 version starts from €3,990, with the possibility of taking advantage of eco-bonuses for a maximum discount of 40% so that the purchase amount drops to €2,682; production will start shortly at Plant 2 of Minarelli, the goal is to produce 20,000 electric vehicles a year.

“The line, soon to be implemented with all the tightening quality controls, is connected to the company management system to ensure the progress of production orders. On the edge of the line there is a visual board, on which production and quality information is reported in real time.

At the end of the production cycle, the complete mapping of the vehicle takes place, the engine, the inverter, the dashboard and the battery are mapped. With a production capacity of 100 vehicles per day which for the first year will guarantee Fantic a production of around 20,000 electric vehicles".
