LEGO brings Dr. Strange to the modular building district

LEGO takes on crossovers and brings Dr. Strange's Sancta Sanctum to the modular building district. During the latest edition of LEGO Con 2022, the new set of the Marvel theme dedicated to the Lord of the Mystical Arts was presented, namely the LEGO Marvel set # 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum, which for the first time was designed in a Modular Building version. Let's see it in detail.

It is not the first time that a set has been dedicated to the magical home of Dr. Strange: already the LEGO Marvel set # 76108 The Showdown at the Sancta Sanctorum brought the mystical palace into neighborhoods and streets of LEGO City, but in that version it was a playset / doll's house, that is an “open” model that reproduced the building on the front while on the back it gave access to the rooms and internal rooms. In summary, to create a complete and "closed" version of the building, it was necessary to buy two copies of the set and add a certain number of LEGO elements to complete the modification.

The new set, on the other hand, has all the features peculiar to the canonical Modular Buildings:

3 floors that can be built separately and stacked to create a single building interior furnished "hookable" to the other Modular Buildings through the baseplate on which it is built In addition, the model made up of 2,708 pieces of the Sanctum Sanctorum incorporates scenes from the Avengers: Infinity War and Doctor Strange movies into the Multiverse of Madness:

the upper floor houses the museum of mystical collections the central section contains the library the ground floor has familiar features both inside and outside once built, the model measures 32 cm in height, 31 cm in width and 26 cm deep The set includes nine Minifigures: Doctor Strange, Wong, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Ebony Maw, Mordo, Sinister Strange, Zombie Strange and The Scarlet Witch, as well as a series of accessories and different customizable elements . The configuration of the external walls itself is configurable: the section with the Mystical Portal and the one with the attack of the Gargantos can be positioned at the discretion of the builder and can be interchanged during the game to reproduce the favorite scenes of the films.

The set also includes the buildable model of Gargantos attacking Dr. Strange, in direct reference to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. I haven't seen the movie yet… so I can't tell if the scenes are accurate. Inside we will also find many interesting and hidden details, real Easter Eggs, such as the poster with the Ancient in the attic.
