The extended Italian trailer of Sweet Tooth

Late yesterday afternoon, Netflix released the extended Sweet Tooth Italian trailer. The series, as previously reported, will consist of 8 episodes of 60 minutes each that will be available from June 4 on the platform and is inspired by the comic series of the same name published by DC / Vertigo written and drawn by the prolific Canadian author Jeff Lemire.

Sweet Tooth is produced by Team Downey of Robert Downey Jr. (recovered one of his featurette on the series) recently seen at the cinema in the disappointing Dolittle, the first role for the ex-Iron Man who had left the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Avengers - End Game.



The protagonist is the young Gus, a hybrid half boy and half deer, who leaves his home in the forest to discover a world devastated by a catastrophic event. Left to fend for himself after his father's death, Gus meets a portly wanderer named Jepperd, who promises to help him. For the two begins a journey in a devastated post-apocalyptic America, in search of a refuge for hybrids.

Sweet Tooth showrunners are Jim Mickle (Hap and Leonard, In the Shadow of the Moon, Cold In July) and Beth Schwartz (Arrow, DC's Legends of Tomorrow). As for the cast we have Christian Convery (Beautiful Boy, Tiger Rising, Non siza con fuoco), Nonso Anozie (The Laundromat, Zoo, Game of Thrones), Adeel Akhtar (I miserabili - la serie, Vittoria & Abdul, The Big Sick - Marriage Can Be Avoid), Will Forte (The Last Man on Earth, Saturday Night Live) and James Brolin (Life in Pieces, Amityville Horror, Westworld) as a narrator in English-speaking countries.

This isn't the first time Team Downey has tried to bring Sweet Tooth to the small screen. In 2018 the series was supposed to go into production for Hulu but the project fell through and was shelved until today with the announcement of the arrival on Netflix.
