Oculus Quest may be running Android apps and games soon

According to the latest rumors also supported by the Youtuber VR TheMysticle, Facebook is about to open Oculus Quest to the Android ecosystem. The influencer, in fact, would have found a good number of classic apps and games to test within his game library, where applications in beta testing are usually shown.

Facebook declined to comment on the images posted by TheMysticle, but from these you can clearly see the icons of apps such as Zoom, TikTok and Spotify, but also those of games like Candy Crush and Among Us. These programs will probably start as simple two-dimensional windows, but could represent a notable addition to the catalog of software available to Oculus Quest 1 & 2.

From a technical point of view this shouldn't be a big problem, given that the system virtual reality headset operating on Facebook is a modified version of Android.

Oculus Quest wouldn't be the first VR headset to do this, as Lenovo's Mirage Solo already allows you to do this. Without considering Daydream headsets, of course.
