First Zetta electric car

Although the Russian car manufacturer Zetta still has a long way to go, before reaching the results of other companies operating in this sector, the startup seems to have very clear and ambitious ideas about its future projects. In fact, Zetta has already been at work, since last summer, to build what will be its first electric car. It is not clear when the project will come to an end but - according to the Russian Minister of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov - by the end of 2021 the company could start production of the zero-emission vehicle. The minister, in fact, stated in a note the following:

Everything will depend on how the project is completed. The model presented is still experimental and will have to be completed, but it deserves great attention.

The Tolyatti-based car manufacturer seems to have the intention of making several electric vehicles, including the low-cost city car and a commercial cargo vehicle. However, there seem to be no new confirmations from Denis Shchurovsky - as well as co-owner of the Zetta strat up - which would affect the electric car. Well, for Russia, the production of new zero-emission cars could mean a lot, both from an industrial point of view and from an image point of view. In fact, only 5,960 electric vehicles were sold in Russia in 2020.

This is why, despite the scarce presence of public charging stations for electric cars, it is necessary for the country to focus a lot on the production of zero-emission vehicles. A fundamental role, in this context, can be played by Russian politics. A similar situation also occurred in Turkey. In fact, the presence of Erdogan was fundamental, allowing the entry - in the automotive sector with the production of exclusively zero-emission cars - to the newcomer Togg (Türkiye'nin Otomobili Girişim Grubu), the first car manufacturer in Turkey.
