Lamborghini Sian, a specimen of the hybrid hypercar spotted on the street
A few days ago we shared the first images of a Lamborghini Sian in Bianco Isis spotted on the streets of Modena and today, the same car appears to have reappeared alongside the brand new Lamborghini Huracan STO.

Derived largely from the Aventador , Sian will be the first hybrid Lamborghini. Under the huge hood of the new hypercar of the Sant’Agata Bolognese brand is expected a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine capable of delivering a maximum of 785 horsepower, the same as the Aventador SVJ. Unlike the latter, Lamborghini has combined a 48 Volt electric motor in Sian and inserted in the gearbox a 34 Hp electric engine connected directly to the axles.

The specimen sighted Powering it, a supercapacitor capable of to store about ten times more energy than a lithium-ion battery. The electric propulsion section reaches a weight of just 34 kg, thus confirming a weight-to-power ratio of 1 kg / hp.

The supercapacitor has the ability to charge and discharge with the same power, the accumulation system it reaches its maximum charge during each braking. In this way, the stored energy allows us to offer an increase in available power right away. Above the speed of 130 km / h, the movement of the car is entrusted exclusively to the thermal mode.

The hybrid technology conceived by Lamborghini is not only an exercise in style, it also allows to improve operations at low speed, making the car more agile and brilliant.

By implementing this solution, the total power now reaches 819 Horsepower. The performance of Lamborghini Sian are literally thrilling: the hypercar is able to cover the sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in just 2.8 seconds and fly at a maximum speed of 350 Km / h.
