With Wonder Woman 1984 out next December 25 in the United States both at the cinema and in streaming on the HBO Max platform, and the Italian date oscillating between January 14 and 25, director Patty Jenkins is back to grant the last interviews before of the official release of the film and has also returned to talk about the possible spin-off linked to the franchise.

Wonder Woman - Will the spin-off be a prequel?

In a recent interview Patty Jenkins confirmed that the spin-off is Amazon-centric and is chronologically placed immediately after the events of the first film but the plot has repercussions both for the plot of Wonder Woman 1984 and for the third film.

The director also confirmed that the project is still being evaluated and that the story has been presented , along with Geoff Johns, at WarnerMedia. At this point, Jenkins said, she hopes the feedback from the second film is positive so that she can start working on the spin-off but confirms that she will be involved only as co-writer and possibly as executive producer.

We know that the Amazons will return in Wonder Woman 1984, judging by the trailers only for the sequences in analesis, however it would be really interesting to see their world expanded also in anticipation of the arrival of Justice League Snyder Cut.
