Pokémon: Special Celebration for 25th Anniversary Announced

Pokémon: Special Celebration for 25th Anniversary Announced
In 1996, the two games Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue made their debut in Japan on the first Game Boy. Accordingly, a big anniversary is in store for 2021: Then the world-famous and successful game series will be 25 years old. The Pokémon Company wants to celebrate this big event with the fans and is apparently busy making plans. Concrete details are not yet known, but in an update on the official website, the team does at least give you a tiny glimpse:

"The Pokémon Company International invites fans from all over the world to see more Stay tuned for information on the very special Pokémon 25th Anniversary celebrations in 2021. "

That is of course a very vague formulation and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about the specific anniversary plans. After all, there is talk of something "very special". It's entirely possible that the team will announce an entirely new game from the Pokémon brand to mark the celebration. The presentation of a remake of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, which numerous fans have been demanding for many years, would also be conceivable.

Fitting: Pokémon Sword and Shield tested by PC Games

But also new details for the already announced MOBA game Pokémon Unite and the new Pokémon Snap title you could expect. It is very likely that the celebrations will also have an impact on the mobile game Pokémon GO, which is likely to have some special events. We'll keep you up to date.
