G.Skill works on the first DDR5 RAM memory with AMD EXPO technology

G.Skill is hard at work preparing the first DDR5 RAM memory capable of supporting AMD's brand new EXPO technology. This is a new feature patented by the company at the end of May this year, able to make memory overclocking easy for all users, automatically testing the stability of each module to generate specific settings suitable for each system and store the profile locally. Although it was not officially announced by the Sunnyvale house, the technology was inadvertently confirmed by MSI on some slides that concerned the now imminent Ryzen 7000 CPUs.

AMD EXPO presents itself in every way as a technological rival of Intel XMP 3.0, making it possible to overclock RAM with a single click in the UEFI interface of the PC. However, what differs from the competing technology is the possibility of being able to act on a greater number of settings, exclusive to the AM5 platform. As reported by previous rumors, the new CPUs based on the Zen 4 architecture will support DDR5-6000 RAM as a reference, which should allow you to get the most out of the new platform, thanks to the possibility of pushing the FClk (Infinity Fabric Clock) frequency up to 3GHz, in the case of Raphael.
