Odin Valhalla Rising: new epic trailer for the Norse epic

Odin Valhalla Rising

The Norse imaginary is experiencing a real golden age in the world of videogame development, with a multiplicity of large and small productions that have drawn inspiration.

From the relaunch of God of War among the evocative scenarios of the adventure of Kratos and Atreus, up to the recent Asassin's Creed: Valhalla, without obviously forgetting the 5 million active players on Valheim, the Viking mythology does not fail to fascinate the public on substantially all gaming platforms. A trend that is no stranger to oriental software houses either, with different teams working on titles with settings attributable to Norse scenarios.

Among the latter, we also find Kakao Games, author of Black Desert Online, with the software house that he has been devoting himself to developing Odin for some time: Valhalla Rising. An ambitious MMORPG announced for PC and mobile devices, the title coming from South Korea aims to make players cross the kingdoms of Midgard, Jotunheim, Alfheim and Niffelheim. To rekindle the spotlight on production, currently lacking a precise launch date, Kakao Games has released a new epic trailer for the game, which you can view directly at the opening of this news.

Publisher Kakao Games and developer Lionheart Studio released a new trailer of their upcoming MMORPG Odin: Valhalla Rising.

This time around, we get to see a cinematic cutscene titled “Loki’s Fury” which the developer clarifies is actually running in the game’s engine.

It’s pretty epic, and you can watch it below.

If you want to see more, you can enjoy another batch of trailers released at G-Star in Korea back in November and one more from last month.

Odin: Valhalla Rising is set on four different continents based on Norse mythology, Midgard, Jotunheim, Nidavellir, and Alfheim.

The world is populated by plenty of monsters and creatures besides humans, elves, and giants. Horse riding also seems to play a relevant role in the game.

The game has been in development a few years, previously known as “Project Odin.”

At the moment, it has been announced for PC and mobile, which lately is a popular combo among Korean MMORPG developers.

Despite the Norse-like setting, the aesthetics of the game remain most definitely Korean, as you’ll see in the trailer. It’s certainly a different take compared to games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
