On the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the famous sit-com Friends, the agency that organizes the tours of the television and film sets of the city of New York called On Location Tours has decided to organize a virtual tour of all the characteristic places where the famous series.



Fans will be able to explore all the places in New York City that characterized the stories of Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Chandler, Ross and Joey, directly from the armchair at home, on a 40-minute tour through 18 iconic locations where the series was filmed.

Video offers tour of 1834 Herkimer County Jail

A virtual tour of the 1834 Herkimer County Jail in Herkimer is now available through a video produced by W.C. Pope and featuring a guided tour by Friends of Historic Herkimer County President James Greiner.


The Friends group has the video available for $10, plus $4 shipping. To purchase a copy, send a check to the Friends of Historic Herkimer County, P.O. Box 703, Herkimer NY 13350.


Thanks to a donation from Stewart's Shops, the video now can be distributed to local schools to share with their students online or in the classroom until the jail can be opened to the public for school group tours to return again.


The Friends of Historic Herkimer County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and restoring the 1834 Herkimer County Jail, located at the 'Historic Four Corners' in Herkimer, to open the building back up to the public for tours.


The group was awarded a grant last year through the New York state Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation to undertake a major renovation project to the interior and exterior of the building that they need to match through fundraising and grants.
