Buy PS5: At Alternate you need a letter of application to buy the console

Buy PS5

Alternate is still offering a special promotion for all players who want to get hold of a new PS5 until this evening. A total of 265 consoles are for sale at the shop. However, in order to get the chance for a new copy, you have to convince the Alternate team with an application. In addition to a form, it is also necessary to send a letter of motivation. With this campaign, Alternate would like to exclude bots from buying one of the PS5 consoles.

The deadline for your letter is this Friday at 11:59 pm. Further details and the necessary form can be found on the Alternate website. However, the provider will only sell the consoles in special packages. On the one hand, there is a PS5 package with Dirt 5, the Nioh Collection and a second controller for 719 €. The other bundle includes the digital edition of the PS5 with an annual subscription for PS Plus, the camera and a second controller for € 599. You have to decide on one of the packages before you apply. Alternate has recently been criticized for the compulsory bundle.

Even four months after the launch of the PS5, interest in the next-gen console is immense. New deliveries regularly result in overrun online shops. Most recently, a retailer also offered its new consoles via a lottery procedure in order to provide equal opportunities for everyone. Especially bots and scalpers make buying a PS5 very exhausting at the moment.

PS5 Restock Updates for Target, Best Buy, Antonline, Costco, Newegg and More

Thursday brought mixed news for gamers looking to purchase a PlayStation 5. Target, Antonline, Costco and Newegg all released more consoles confirming reports of a new stock drop, but demand continued to outstrip supply. All four retailers swiftly sold out of both the PS5 Standard Edition and the PS5 Digital Edition.

The silver lining for gamers is that, according to GamingIntel, a new restock at Best Buy could be underway as early as Friday.

Here's a breakdown of the latest PS5 restock information from Target, Walmart, GameStop, Antonline, PS Direct, Amazon and more.

Amazon PS5 Restock

The PlayStation 5 remains unavailable at Amazon, whose limited restock last week quickly sold out.

On the retailer's website, both the PS5 and the PS5 Digital Edition are listed as 'currently unavailable,' along with a message stating Amazon does not yet know when or if the PS5 will be back in stock.

Unlike other retailers, Amazon does not usually announce stock drops ahead of time, so it is worth following Twitter accounts such as @Wario64 and @GYXdeals, for insights on restocks.

Antonline PS5 Restock

The PS5 remains out of stock at Antonline, after the retailer sold out the PS5 bundles it released on Thursday.

Priced at $809.94, the bundles included a console, an extra controller, a PlayStation 5 HD camera, Demon's Soul Standard Edition, Marvel's Spider Man: Miles Morales Launch Edition and a 12-month membership of PlayStation Plus.

Antonline normally reveals its restocks on Twitter ahead of time so gamers are encouraged to monitor the retailer's social media channels.

The PlayStation 5 is again unavailable at Target, whose restock on Thursday rapidly sold out.
