Microsoft Defender becomes more effective against ransomware

Microsoft Defender, integrated into Windows 11, helps protect your system from viruses and other threats that could compromise the security of your operating system and expose your personal and / or important data to malicious people.

Recently, the company Redmond has released new builds (22621.450 and 22622.450) of Windows 11 on the Beta channel, reserved for members of the Insider program, which improve Microsoft Defender for Endpoint's blocking of ransomware attacks. Microsoft's Amanda Langowski and Brandon LeBlanc said, “We have improved Microsoft Defender for Endpoint's ability to identify and intercept ransomware and advanced attacks.”

In addition to the changes inherent in Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, these builds feature additional enhancements, such as storage replication over low-bandwidth or congested WANs and file compression when configured on Server Message Block (SMB). In addition, problems that caused error 0x80070024 when copying files from network drives and Microsoft Edge crash when using IE mode have been fixed.
