Alfa Romeo will reach new quality standards with Tonale

Of all the words that are most associated with Alfa Romeo (such as style, performance, passion) the word quality is hardly used; in fact, the brand has a reputation for assembling cars with bizarre problems related to both electronics and assembly and it is not uncommon to find conflicting opinions on the net. In recent years, the situation has improved thanks to the arrival of Stelvio, where Alfa Romeo has paid more attention.

Speaking to Autocar's microphones, Jean-Philippe Imparato underlined Alfa's commitment to quality. To ensure that the Tonale leaves the factory as a solid product, the automaker has upgraded the manufacturing facility. The Pomigliano plant, which has 425 workers, is defined as a "first class" plant aimed at producing premium products. While these assurances may appear, at the moment, as mere promises, Imparato has previously shown his dedication to pushing the limits of Alfa Romeo; Tonale was reportedly lagging behind in the market also due to an inadequate level of performance (plug-in) for the brand's number one. The Biscione brand knows that Tonale is one of the last cards to play and must necessarily be perfect and free from critical issues; but if there is anyone who can change the brand, it is Imparato, who transformed Peugeot into the success it is today.
