The Prynt stealer is yet another demonstration of how widespread the malware-as-a service (MaaS) model is. In cybercriminal environments, in fact, it is increasingly common to find various types of malware, from stealers to ransomware available "by subscription": a user pays a monthly fee and has access to the tools via a web interface, such as one of the many legitimate software on the market, through the dark web marketplaces (one of the most famous was recently seized).

Prynt is one of the many rental malware available in these environments, and it seems particularly dangerous: in addition to the "normal" functionality of a stealer, such as the ability to steal data such as search history, credentials consisting of username and password, credit card data, and much more from the most common browsers, such as Edge, Chrome and Firefox, allows to also steal information related to cryptocurrency wallets and, data from gaming platforms such as Steam, Uplay and Minecraft, not to mention the possibility of recovering tokens and other information from communication platforms such as Discord and Telegram. Additionally, the stealer is capable of stealing data from FileZilla, OpenVPN, NordVPN, and Proton VPN.

Malware is remarkable from the point of view invisibility and its functions are truly fearsome, however the above-average cost of $ 100 per month / 200 per quarter / 700 per year or 900 for a one-time purchase, along with a seemingly unreliable server infrastructure , could slow down its diffusion.
