The interpreter of Neo and John Wick was a great protagonist of San Diego Comic-Con where he unveiled new details on the projects related to BRZRKR, the comic he created and which will be transformed into films and anime series. Precisely for this reason during the panel Keanu Reeves revealed which are his favorite anime and how this passion of his was born.

Keanu revealed that he was intensely passionate about the world of anime only during the filming of The Matrix. As a child he had grown up watching them on a TV station that broadcast them late at night, but it was the Wachowskis who advised him to see Akira and Ghost in the Shell to prepare for the role of Neo. Undoubtedly iconic works, which have remained in the collective imagination of fans, which have influenced the narrative philosophy behind the Matrix.


Ghost In The Shell is one of the most famous sci-fi franchises, based on the Masamune Shirow manga. A cyberpunk thriller set in a futuristic Japan of the 21st century: in 2017 the much discussed live action adaptation with Scarlett Johansson was released.

We remind you that Keanu Reeves will return to play the role of hitman John Wick in the fourth chapter, due out in 2023. Together with Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne), his character will have to take revenge for the betrayal of the High Table, an organization of assassins that has hired new recruits from its ranks, played by Bill Skarsgård and Donnie Yen.
