As usual, master Splinter (Eric Bauza) will accompany the four turtles in this new adventure. Based on the animated series of the same name, which ran for two seasons from 2018 to 2020, the film will see the creatures join forces to face an alien race known as the Krang (first introduced in the 1980s). Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie will arrive on Netflix on August 5th.

This is a great time for turtle fans: in 2023 a new animated reboot will arrive on the big screen that will be the beginning of a real franchise. According to Brian Robbins, president of Nickelodeon, a return to the hybrid formula in live action as done in the past is not to be excluded.

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have been involved in the project as they will be able to capture the spirit of the original turtles, creating a palatable product for children, adults, Gen-Z and Millennials. The expansion of the universe linked to the Ninja Turtles had already been announced in February by ViacomCBS. New animated films will arrive in 2023, exclusively on Paramount +, which will focus on some of the most famous villains in the franchise, but details remain unknown at the moment.
