Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III launches on Xbox One

This week there were rumors that the newest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 could be left out of Xbox One, since the official page on the Xbox store only mentioned a version for Xbox Series X|S.

Looks like it was a mistake. The page was recently updated, now also including a mention of the Xbox One. On the PS Store, the game is also quoted for the PS4, confirming that it will indeed be released in the last generation.

With the game not yet having revealed in full, it looks like the Xbox store page just wasn't finished. Players who are still in the generation need not worry, as they will have access to this year's Call of Duty.

In addition, the American portal IGN has confirmed with its sources that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will indeed be released on both PS4 and Xbox One. It looks like this was just another rash internet hysteria.

So far we've only had short teasers of the game, with the full reveal of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 scheduled to be held on August 17th, taking place as a form of event within Call of Duty: Warzone itself.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is scheduled to launch on November 10th. The game is expected to release on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
