The Elder Scrolls 6 enters development

On the heels of the highly anticipated release of Starfield, Bethesda brings exciting news for fans of The Elder Scrolls series. In a new interview with Spanish portal Vandal, Bethesda's head of publishing, Pete Hines, revealed exciting details about the progress of projects at the studio. According to Hines, with the launch of Starfield just days away, there are people actively working on The Elder Scrolls 6 within Bethesda.

However, Hines stressed that Bethesda's current focus is still on Starfield. Considering that the developer has already revealed a post-launch expansion for Starfield, included in the Premium Digital Edition of the new RPG, there's clearly a lot of work to be done after Starfield's debut. Despite this, it's likely that many fans of The Elder Scrolls will be relieved to learn that the sixth main game in the series is finally in development. The sequel was announced about five years ago, and so far, there has been no concrete information about The Elder Scrolls 6 other than the debut trailer.

Even Todd Howard, Starfield game director and veteran of The Elder Scrolls stated earlier this month that it would make the announcement more casual if it could go back and do it all over again. Howard has hinted that he has some regrets about how early the new game was revealed, which isn't exactly a surprise.

As for Starfield, Bethesda's first new franchise in 25 years will launch later this year. week on Thursday, August 31 as part of the Starfield Early Access program. For all other players, Starfield will be available next week on September 6th, launching on day one as an Xbox Game Passa> title.
