The Callisto Protocol: the New Game+ is still far away

The Callisto Protocol

Considered by all as the spiritual heir of Dead Space, the release of The Callisto Protocol did not exactly go the right way. Beyond the reviews, which are also very mixed (and which are costing Krafton a lot of money on the stock market), the home horror game Striking Distance has been much criticized for its technical performance on PC. While the development team tries to enjoy the launch, however, it has made it known that one of the first additional contents will arrive only next year, as was predictable.

As you may have guessed from the title of this news, we are referring to the New Game + mode, which allows you to face the single player campaign of The Callisto Protocol in really difficult mode. The mode is unfortunately absent at launch and will only arrive next year and more precisely on February 7, 2023.

In addition to the New Game +, another content that will bea> released on the same day is the Outer Way Skin Collection. However, the support will continue, also thanks to the existence of a season pass, which will be enriched in March 2023 with another truly difficult game mode, thanks to the Contagion Bundle. The mode will introduce permadeath along with low ammo and health, as well as 13 animations for Jacob's death.

Six months of content coming to The Callisto Protocol beginning Feb 7, 2023, with a free update of Hardcore Mode and New Game+. More details for this and the Season Pass coming soon. pic.twitter.com/43mLjK93IP

The Season Pass will include additional content later as well, with Spring 2023 and Summer 2023 seeing the arrival of a Riot Bundle and storyline content. In short, support for The Callisto Protocol will certainly not end soon, but the hope is that the PC version can be recovered over the next few weeks to offer all fans of the game a truly optimal experience.
