Finally the release date of the remake of Lum - Urusei Yatsura has been revealed, the beloved anime series taken from the manga by Rumiko Takahashi and produced by Studio Pierrot and Studio Deen, together with Kitty Films and Fuji Television, aired for the first time in Japan in 1981. When will we be able to see the first episodes?

The remake will be released on October 13, as announced by the anime's official website. The anime will adapt selected stories from the manga and will last four courses, or a full year, although not consecutively.As for the staff, Hideya Takahashi (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, Strike Witches: Road to Berlin) and Yasuhiro Kimura (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, 2.43: Seiin High School Boys Volleyball Team) are directing the anime at David Production, while Yuuko Kakihara (Cells at Work!, Heaven's Lost Property) is overseeing the scripts for the series. Naoyuki Asano (Mr. Osomatsu, Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!) Is drawing the characters. The new staff members are the artistic director Masanobu Nomura, Ayaka Nakamura in charge of color, Kanji Ōshima is the CG director, Yuuichirou Nagata is in charge of Photography and compositing, Yoshikazu Iwanami of sound and Kiyoshi Hirose of editing.
