Perfect Dark, Matt Booty denies the problems

Is Perfect Dark running into problems? Matt Booty, head of Microsoft Studios, denied the matter during his speech at PAX West 2022, saying indeed that the developers are working well.

News of the abandonment of two other developers surfaced last March and Crystal Dynamics that would have taken over the game precisely because of the many defections, but according to Booty there is nothing to worry about and indeed the works are proceeding as planned.

"The Initiative is carrying out a great collaboration with Crystal Dynamics but I read online that there would be problems, when it is the opposite, "Booty said. "Crystal Dynamics is a triple A team made up of veterans, of course we want to work with them."

In fact, the opinions on the progress of the project are mixed, and while it is true that some speak of hitches and problems, others like the journalist Jez Corden argue that Perfect Dark is doing really well.

Who is telling the truth? Unfortunately, it will take some time to find out, as the long-awaited Xbox exclusive doesn't have an official release period yet.

Matt told The Sun that he may have to wait months to be reunited with Reggie in the UK, after his busy schedule prevented him from ordering a pet passport and making sure his dog had the necessary jabs.

He said: 'Leaving Reggie in America has been tough. I know having him here will put a swing in my step on the Strictly stage.

'The problem in getting Reggie to the UK is logistics and there's also quarantine.

'Reggie's breed also have breathing difficulties so it may be difficult for him to travel in the hold or be in the hold for long periods.'

Speaking after he was unveiled as a contestant last week, Matt admitted the prospect of performing on Strictly has given him 'butterflies for the first time in three decades.'

Matt, who has been living in America for the last 25 years as a headliner in Las Vegas, said he is happy to be spending an extended period of time at home again.

He said: 'I've been almost reclusive, I come and work and then go back to America. I thought, it's time for me to come home and get out of my own way in a way.

'Do something completely out of my comfort zone. I'm quite shy off stage so I'll have to face all those demons and learn.'

He said: 'I had the call over a month ago and I had my code name, American Bulldog. Now I can say it's me. It's very secret. I've told like three people and that's it.'

Asked about learning how to dance, he added: 'Somebody's going to have to teach me, I have to learn.

'When I do my songs I move obviously but you don't really know what you're doing. To be judged on this show is actually exciting to me. I've got butterflies for the first time in three decades.'
